Meet your coach
Peter Hegarty is a 3rd generation show skier. His grandfather, Don Mickelson, was one of the founding members of the Eau Claire, WI Ski Sprites, and his parents, Mark and Lori Hegarty, are both retired professional skiers from Sea World. His parents settled the family in Maine and jump started the Maine Attraction Water Ski Show Team. Learning on a small team in the East, Peter was mostly influenced by his parent's experience from their time at Sea World. He learned to barefoot, wakeboard, trick ski, doubles, pyramid, bust most of all freestlye jump. Pete landed his first invert at the age of 16 and started skiing professionally with the Stars of Florida at age 19. From there he has progressed exponentially in the world of freestlye jumping. Pete has become one of the highest level freestlyle jumpers of his time. His specialty is the infamous “Back Half” on his home made discombobulator ski. This trick, along with the “Front Half”, and many other accolades, has landed him on Team USA, and becoming a National Freestyle Jump Champion.

Weather Conditions Disclaimer:
Safety is a priority and your time is valuable. We will keep a tight watch on weather conditions and may have to make the tough decision to cancel if the weather is unfit for a safe and productive lesson. The biggest concern will be wind and lightning. If winds are at unsafe conditions, cancellation will be necessary. If lightning is 10 miles away or closer at any point during your lesson, we will go back to shore until it passes if it is within a reasonable amount of time.
